All engineering surveys are done in state plane coordinates so that it is consistent with GIS related files such as geo-referenced PASDA imagery, LiDAR, tax parcel data, etc... The deliverable can be in whatever format is most useful to you. Some firms desire raw point data, others prefer fully processed AutoCAD mapping according to their drafting standards and some prefer a deliverable somewhere in between. You get quality surveying done by an experienced engineer and surveyor who is not a competitor, but a complement to your engineering firm.
LandownersIt is always good to know where your property boundaries are to prevent claims of adverse possession and to make sure that your home projects stay within the boundaries of your property. Sometimes your best option is to subdivide a property or add lands to your existing property under agreement with your neighbor. We also offer septic system design services. We also offer help to Landowners who are in the floodplain and need an elevation certificate done, or wish to have their property removed from the floodplain.
Real Estate AgentsEvery good real estate agent knows that the tax mapping online is not accurate in terms of boundary position and should never be relied upon in showing a potential buyer or seller where the property boundaries are. If there is ever a question of property boundary location or easements within a property, it is best to recommend your client to a knowledgeable surveyor.
